Scholarship

The Ashburton Society of Arts Scholarship is part of the Societies’ ongoing effort to promote the visual arts in New Zealand. The award is intended to provide financial assistance to a student enrolled in the second year or above of a Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Fine Arts (excluding Film and
Television, Digital and AI) at a New Zealand Tertiary institution.

Amount and Type of Award

One award of $1000.00 will be available each year – the award shall be paid in one instalment directly to the successful applicant on presentation of a fees invoice showing enrolment as a fulltime
student.

Tenure

One year only.
Applicants need to be a New Zealand Citizen or have permanent residency.

Annual availability

The ASA may decide not to award the scholarship if it deems there are no suitable candidates.

The awarding of this scholarship is at the total discretion of the ASA and all decisions are final.
