How to Exhibit

The Ashburton Society of Arts provides a range of regular exhibitions and opportunities for our members to exhibit and sell works of art.

Exhibit your works of art in the next Autumn, Winter, Spring, Christmas or Summer shows at our Short Street Studio. Open Saturdays and Sundays 11am – 4pm, or when the sign is out, or by appointment. Contact Ngaio McKee on 03 308 4533 for further details.

Our feature exhibition held every July at the prestigious Ashburton Art Gallery showcases works of Art, Applied Art & Craft and Photography from artists all over New Zealand.

It attracts approximately 500 entries from all over New Zealand. To be eligible, artists must belong to the Ashburton Society of Arts or to a kindred society.

Artists are allowed to enter one painting, one sculpture, three miniature paintings plus three applied art & craft entries or 1 photograph if desired. Size restrictions apply to all categories and will be set out on the conditions of entry.

Online entries are available during May .

Our Short Street Studio is an excellent venue and is available for hire for holding solo or group exhibitions, art tutoring or social activities.
We have two rooms available to enjoy our art in (or hire out).

If you wish to hire out a studio room (or two) please call Rosalee on 027 438 6322
