Description
In this workshop we will go over the following ways of tackling a small painting including
– Composition
– Use of colours
– Carrying colours throughout the painting subject matter and background
– Using your artistic licence
– Strengths of paint to create highlights and depth
– The importance of contrast
– Working on our subject matter wet-in-wet
Reference photos will be provided for painting either a rose, cat, dog, bird or landscape, however if you have any reference material you’d like to bring, please feel free to do so.
Lynda will demonstrate how she goes about starting the work and proceeding throughout using the wet-in-wet method, before she sends you off to tackle your painting. This will definitely be a watch and learn workshop.
Some experience with watercolours and knowledge of the techniques used in watercolour painting would be essential for this course.
Lynda could provide paints and paper for this course for an extra fee of $10. Please let Kathy know via our email if you require this so Lynda can have it all ready to go for you.
