Scholarship Applications Open
To promote the visual arts, our annual scholarship award is intended to financially assist students towards completing their Fine Arts degrees.
There is one $1000 Scholarship available each year. Students from the Ashburton District enrolled in the second year or above of a Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Fine Arts (excluding Film and
Television, Digital and AI) at a New Zealand Tertiary institution are invited to apply.Key dates:
1 December Applications Open
31 January Applications Close
ASA panel to consider applications in February
Successful applicant advised in early March

Our art groups are a great for doing art socially. Come to the Short St Studio and spend some time creating art on a regular basis with other artists.
We have regular groups for general art and crafts as well as groups for specific topics such as print making and figure drawing.
