Karlena Lewin is a New Zealand watercolour artist celebrated for her lively, loose, impressionistic florals and colourful portraits. Her work embraces fluidity, balancing bold pigments with delicate details.
With exhibitions at Darfield Gallery and Lift Bank Gallery, Karlena is a passionate tutor who has taught at Methven Summer School for several years and now offers intimate workshops from her home studio. Based in Greymouth, with a large social media following and work sold worldwide, she is passionate about sharing the love of watercolour with others.
Her classes are designed for all levels, with all materials provided, ensuring a relaxed yet inspiring exploration of watercolour’s vibrant potential. Learn foundational techniques watercolour control, brushwork, and transfer methods while creating 8 fabulous paintings step-by-step. Reference photos, colour charts, and demonstrations are included for a highly productive experience.
