Lynda Scott has agreed to take another beginner / intermediate workshop, this one is focusing on how to begin to paint animals. This workshop will go through painting with a loose technique using vibrant colours to bring your animal to life.
The key to this is starting with the eyes and capturing the reflected light.
We will start with working out composition, drawing the main features, how to start and keep your painting light and loose as we explore using various techniques, and build up colours, stripes, feathers and fur. We will use negative painting to define shapes and incorporate background colours into our animal to bring everything into harmony.
Most importantly, we will have some fun splashing paint around to achieve a loose colourful painting and help you along your journey painting animals and birds.
Lynda will help you paint your pet so feel free to bring along a photo of your favourite pooch, preferably a close up with the light reflecting in the eyes. Some reference photos will be available if you are happy to use these.
